Weddings-Gloria and Jacob

Gloria and Jacob were married on May 17, 2018, in Meridian Hill Park in Washington DC. It was a small but very moving ceremony! There to take part were the bride and groom, Gloria's friend Jen who was the officiant, Shan and Chen Sheng (Gloria's parents), and me. Jen read the lovely words, and then asked them each if they would promise to take the other to be their lawfully wedded husband/wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part. And they said yes, and after they embraced, Jen told us she was so proud to be the first one to congratulate the new Mr. and Mrs. Robbins. Tears in my eyes, dear friends!

After the event, we had lunch in a nearby place--with festive cupcakes!-- and then went to the DC courthouse to complete the procedure. There are some pictures here. Many congratulations to my darling boy and his lovely wife!
