This was my first Christmas without Lawrence. I thought of him often, and missed him very much. It was not easy, but still, everyone came home for Christmas, and we celebrated the season, and were very glad to be together. Thank you to family and friends for making it a lovely Christmas! Pictures here.

Once everyone had arrived (traveling from foreign parts, such as Estonia, England, Colorado, and the far flung prefectures of Brooklyn) we had our Christmas party. How it made me appreciate all the things that Lawrence used to take care of! Still, we partied down. Allan wore his Pikelhaube of Merry Magical Lights, and we all quaffed eggnog with wild abandon. Devilled eggs were in evidence, but their stay with us was brief--the Ham however lasted past the party unto the 3rd and 4th day thereafter. Yea, even unto the New Year.

Christmas Eve Dinner

Very nice to have a peaceful Christmas Eve dinner with just family (instead of a rip-roaring party which is how we have always marked the day in the past). I made cioppino, a splendid fish soup (recipe here). At Lawrence's memorial, Seth told us that he has made cioppino for his family every Christmas Eve since Lawrence made it for us all at the beach one year. So, I thought I'd do the same.

On Christmas day we had Uncle Seth's eggs for breakfast as always, though this year, the oven broke and they had to be cooked on the stovetop. Which was FINE, Then, stockings, presents, silly gift exchange, and a fabulous Christmas dinner over at Daniel's house. WITH CONCERT--see movie==>.Good will much in evidence, with perhaps not so much in the blessed harmony line.

I took as many pictures as I could, and put a bunch up, here.
