It happened that Nicholas was in town for a wedding (and his brother Tim was in town for the same wedding!), and Aaron hadn't yet left for foreign parts, and Claire was back from the beach. SO it seemed a good time to celebrate all the birthdays together.
I cooked and baked and made the goodie bags and squeezed 13 places around the table and it was time to party!
Party Time!
Helen and Harriet came in first, and Helen immediately checked out the goodie bags. Noting that each contained a few Gummy Bears she announced with great satisfaction that her parents had just acquired a FIVE POUND BAG of Gummy Bears. So these few would add to their store of the excellent confections.
Then they went off to play with the dollhouse, kindly preparing it for Christmas to spare me the trouble.
Very fine to see everyone! We drank and ate and partied with zeal and happiness. I wish all the family could have been there!
